According to the Operational Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from Coronavirus Infection, 943 cases of infection were detected in Abkhazia over the past week, 2956 people were tested.

Over the past week, 943 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Abkhazia. 2956 people passed the COVID-19 test. This was announced by the Operational Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from Coronavirus Infection.

According to the Operational Headquarters, at the moment, there are 148 patients in the Gudauta Central District Hospital, of which 141 people with confirmed coronavirus infection, seven with direct suspicion of coronavirus infection.

There are 27 people in serious condition, 51 patients of moderate severity. 95 people were discharged in a week.

The Operational HQ reports that 42 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection are in the mobile multidisciplinary hospital deployed on the territory of the “Aytar” boarding house in Sukhum.

The mobile hospital of the Russian Ministry of Defense was sent to Abkhazia to help treat patients with a confirmed diagnosis of coronavirus infection.

The hospital specialists arrived in Abkhazia from Budennovsk, Stavropol Region. The group consists of 113 servicemen and about 30 units of military equipment. The mobile hospital will be able to receive up to 150 patients if necessary.

The state of health of 39 patients is of moderate severity, three people are in serious condition.

“The total number of detected cases of coronavirus in Abkhazia today is 3739 people. Of these, 1462 recovered and 35 patients died,” Operational HQ reports.

The Operational Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from Coronavirus Infection calls on the citizens of Abkhazia to observe all necessary precautions to avoid infection.
