The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Abkhazia announced a contest to create a tourism brand for the Republic. Anyone can take part in the competition for the best logo. Said Arshba, the head of the Information support department of the Ministry of Tourism of Abkhazia informed the WAC information portal about this.

According to him, the content of the logo "should include belonging to the cultural and historical values ​​of the Republic of Abkhazia, expressed by means of the artistic language, and should correspond to the purpose of the brand."

He added that the idea of ​​a logo for a travel brand should reveal the advantages and characteristics of the country as a tourist destination, attractive for different types of tourism and for different audiences.

"Proposals should be submitted in electronically and contain: a brief description of the essence of the proposed idea, its rationale, indicating the uniqueness and advantages of the brand in the context of audience expectations and competitors' declarations in the communication space, a conditional illustrative series that reveals the essence of the proposed idea," said Said Arshba.

He also added that the logo should have a minimum of colors, it should be simple and memorable.

The competition will be held in four stages.

"Anyone can submit their works by December 26. Until December 27 inclusive, the expert council will select the 10 best works. In the period from December 28, 2020 to January 20, 2021 inclusive, there will be a selection of the three best competitive options by public voting, voting will take place on the official website of the Ministry," said Said Arshba.

The head of the Information support department of the Ministry of Tourism added that the winner will get a cash prize of 50 thousand rubles, and most importantly, the winner will be able to input his idea into the history of Tourism of Abkhazia.
