The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the World Abaza Congress arrived in Abkhazia and met with the President Aslan Bzhania on Tuesday, April 5.

The meeting was held at the Presidential Administration in Sukhum and began with welcoming words in the Abkhaz and Abaza languages, which are related to each other.

"Бзиала уаабеит!"  ("Welcome!" in the Abkhaz language - ed.) - President Aslan Bzhania addressed the philanthropist, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the World Abaza Congress Mussa Ekzekov.  - Glad to see you today. We haven't seen each other for a long time, we have a lot to discuss. We have big things ahead of us related to our people, there are many problems in the state that we should think about. It seems to me that if we discuss [these] issues, we can come to some kind of solution," Bzhania said.

The President noted that he highly appreciates the work and active work of the World Abaza Congress for the benefit of Abkhazia.

Mussa Ekzekov, in his turn, answered in the Abaza language, thanking the President for the opportunity to meet despite the busy work schedule of the head of state.

"I am very pleased that you found time for our meeting. There is a lot to do. The situation in the world is not easy. We need unity more than ever. I would like us to have a deep, detailed discussion of all issues. I want to share my vision of what kind of assistance the Congress can provide here, so that we, hand in hand, move forward," Ekzekov said.

"Амин Анцэа их,эааит!" ("God bless these words!")," the President replied to Ekzekov’s words.

Further, the meeting was held without journalists.

The exchange of greetings in related languages, when both sides understand what was said without translation, has already become a tradition for meetings between President Aslan Bzhania and Mussa Ekzekov. Recall that the last time the President and the head of the Congress met in August 2021, also during one of Ekzekov’s working visits to Abkhazia. Then Aslan Bzhania also visited, at the invitation of Mussa Ekzekov, the Sukhum office of the WAC, where a meeting with the Congress team was held.
