The Fifth Cultural and Sports festival "Abaza" was held in the village of Inzhich-Chukun of Karachay-Cherkessia from July 21 to 23. The first day of the festival was dedicated to the Abkhaz-Abaza sports games.

The Fifth Cultural and Sports festival "Abaza" was held in the village of Inzhich-Chukun of Karachay-Cherkessia from July 21 to 23. The first day of the festival was dedicated to the Abkhaz-Abaza sports games.This year the World Abaza Congress together with the Association for the Promotion of the Development of the Abkhaz-Abaza Ethnos "Alashara" took part in organizing the Fifth Cultural and Sports Festival, which allowed the organizers to significantly expand the geography of the participants. Congress Chairman Mussa Ekzekov noted that the festival was attended by delegates from Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Kabarda, as well as from regions of Russia and the Republic of Abkhazia.

"The ideology of the Abaza games is simple: through sport, through such games we exchange a good mood, without even noticing we become closer, we become one big family. We learn together to do one great thing. It becomes a tradition for us to be healthy and strong," said Mussa Ezekov.
The festival brought together hundreds of people who could test their strengths in various sports, taste dishes of national cuisine, better learn the culture and traditions of the people of Abaza, make new friends, honor the memory of their ancestors, share good moods and stock up positive emotions until the next games.

Games of the people of Abaza are held in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic for the fifth time. The geographical boundaries of the participants of the competitions are expanding every year, covering new regions of Russia and abroad.
