The second meeting of the Seventh World Abaza Congress (WAC) was opened in Sukhum on Thursday, March 22. During the meeting the delegates of the forum approved the new edition of the Charter of the organization and formed its Supreme Council.

The meeting of the World Abkhaz Congress (WAC) in Sukhum on March 22 was a continuation of the meetings held in December.

The delegates discussed and approved the revised draft of the new version of the Charter of the WAC. Mussa Ekzekov, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the WAC, said that the best lawyers worked on the document that was drafted in accordance with the legislation of Abkhazia.
On the agenda of the forum was also the question of the formation of the Supreme Council of the organization. Its members were representatives of the Abkhaz-Abaza people from Abkhazia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria and other regions of Russia, as well as from Turkey and Jordan.
