The delegation of the WAC, headed by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Congress, Mussa Ekzekov, will visit the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on August 24.  The visit will last three days.

Congress Executive Secretary Inar Gitsba said that he himself will fly to Jordan earlier, on August 20.  The delegation also included Inver Alshundba, a member of the Supreme Council of the Congress, and Izolda Khagba, editor-in-chief of the WAC web information portal.

“The main goals of the visit are an expanded meeting of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Congress Ekzekov with the Abkhaz-Abaza and fraternal Caucasian Diasporas of Jordan, meetings with representatives of the Abkhaz-Abaza people, search and registration of everyone who consider themselves to be representatives of the Abkhaz-Abaza family, presentation of the goals and objectives of the WAC”,  - said Gitsba.

During the working visit, meetings are planned with the leadership and members of the Diaspora public organizations.  This is, first of all, the Circassian charitable organization and the Diaspora Sports Club “Al Ahly Club”.  Meetings will also take place with public figures and cultural figures.

“We plan to discuss issues of strengthening our relations, we hope to prepare the necessary conditions for the establishment of a regional branch of the WAC in Jordan, [conduct] the reception of representatives of the Diaspora as members of the World Abaza Congress, and discuss issues of cultural interaction,” Gitsba specified his plans for the working trip.

A business visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is included in the schedule of foreign visits of Congressional leadership for 2019, which was approved by members of the Supreme Council in 2018.  Until the end of this year, the WAC also intends to visit Syria, Germany, Holland and Turkey.

The Congress pays considerable attention to the issues of uniting the business community and representatives of the Abkhaz-Abaza Diaspora around the world, looking for opportunities to help Abkhazia to strengthen its international position.  So, in April of this year, the WAC delegation held a number of important meetings in Egypt.  During a working visit to this country, it was possible to agree on cooperation and establish friendly relations with many representatives of the Egyptian family of Abaza.
