WAC team laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
The World Abaza Congress team took part in a flower-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Sukhum.
Eight veterans of the Great Patriotic War currently live in Abkhazia. More than 55,000 of our compatriots fought in the Great Patriotic War, of whom 17,500 perished. Twenty-three people from Abkhazia were awarded the title "Hero of the Soviet Union."
