President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania held a meeting with World Youth Festival participants.
A meeting of the President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania with young people took place in the meeting room of the Cabinet of Ministers in Sukhum. The meeting was organized by the State Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports.
The participation of athletes from Abkhazia in the BRICS Games 2024, the World Friendship Games 2024, as well as the participation of a delegation from Abkhazia in the World Youth Festival (WYF) were discussed at the event. The World Abaza Congress is part of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the WYF, which will be held on the federal territory of Sirius from March 1 to 7.
The Head of the WAC department for youth development and physical culture, member of the Organizing Committee Valery Berzenia made a report in which he told in detail about the upcoming festival. The festival will host 20,000 Russian and foreign young leaders in business, media, international cooperation, culture, science and education, sports and other areas of public life.
About a hundred people from Abkhazia will go to the festival, including WAC employees Valery Berzenia and Kherson Simonia. Then, from March 10 to 17, the regional WYF program starts, within the framework of which participants will be able to visit one of the 30 largest cities of Russia with a stopover in Moscow for 3 days.
