"Trail of heroes": the WAC took part in a commemorative expedition.
The staff of the World Abaza Congress took part in the commemorative expedition "Trail of Heroes", organized by the Museum of Military Glory named after Vladislav Ardzinba in the village of Merkula on February 25.
The expedition is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the defensive and offensive battles of the Abkhazian army on the Eastern Front in the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia.
Commemorative events began with the laying of flowers at the memorial to fighters from Merkula who died for the freedom of Abkhazia and continued with a meeting of the PWPA veterans with students of the Merkula Secondary School and students of the Faculty of History of the ASU. Veterans shared their memories of the war period on the sites where hostilities took place.
At the end of the one-day expedition, pupils and students got acquainted with the field kitchen.
