Traditions and innovations of Abkhazian weddings are the topic of the lecture of the “Ирӡтәым” project.
The topic of the next lecture held within the joint project of the WAC and Inna Dzhugeliia was the form of an Abkhazian wedding, the customs and rituals associated with it. Ethnologist, candidate of historical sciences Eliso Sanguliia told high school students of Pitsunda Secondary School No. 1 named after V. Lakoba
about the main forms of marriage among the Abkhazians, about the traditional ritual of bringing the bride into the house, about the essence of wedding and post-wedding rituals, and also conducted a comparative analysis of the past and present in observing national traditions. The primary goal of the project organizers is to strengthen the value system and expand the knowledge of young people in the field of culture, history, spiritual and moral life of Abkhazians.
Environmental training took place in the village of Kutol
The WAC Department for Education, Social Development and Health, together with the senior teacher, methodologist of the Department of Ecology and Animal Morphology at the ASU, Maya Tsybulevskaya, continues to conduct ecology training for students of rural schools. Another interactive lecture within the project took place in the village of Kutol.
