"Ирӡтәым": A lecture on traditional Abkhazian clothing was held at Sukhum School No. 5.

The WAC team, together with Inna Dzhugeliia, a lecturer at the Abkhaz Language Department at Abkhazian State University, continues to hold educational lectures as part of the "Ирӡтәым" project. The lecture for schoolchildren was given by Inga Shamba, a senior researcher at the Ethnology Department of the Abkhazian State Museum.

The topic of the meeting was traditional Abkhazian clothing. Shamba told the students about the elements of the national costume, the history of the distinctive ornaments, and the meaning of their names.

To make the presentation more clear and memorable, the lecturer brought along real museum exhibits. The students had the unique chance not only to closely examine but also to touch the antiques, which aroused their keen interest.

The meeting took the form of an active dialogue. The students asked many questions and, at the end of the lecture, expressed a desire for the entire school to visit the Abkhazian State Museum to continue their acquaintance with the history and culture of their people.

Raising material and human resources to support NGOs was discussed at the WAC press center

The socially oriented autonomous non-profit organization for helping the elderly and disabled (SONCO) "Old Age for Joy" held a meeting with public organizations in Abkhazia at the Sukhum office of the World Abaza Congress.

Tatyana Vasilyeva, head of SONCO "Old Age for Joy," palliative psychologist, and conflict resolution practitioner, presented the Russian social project "Support for NGO Leaders" and shared with representatives of Abkhazian NGOs the successful practices of social projects from various regions of the Russian Federation.

As part of the meeting, a master class was held on raising financial, material, and human resources to support projects or organizations.

The event is part of the "Support for NGO Leaders" social project, which aims at developing professional competencies, strengthening partnerships, and preventing emotional exhaustion among NGO leaders and activists. The meeting aims to inspire new ideas, exchange experiences between NGO leaders in Russia and Abkhazia, and explore new formats for interaction between countries and communities.

The project is being implemented with the support of the Russian Presidential Grants Fund.
