World Abaza Congress and Abkhazian State Drama Theater continue their joint project "Evening at the Theater."
The World Abaza Congress and the S. Chanba Abkhazian State Drama Theater continue their joint project "Evening at the Theater." This year, high school students from the P.S. Shakryl Lykhny Secondary School participated in the project.
Actress and Honored Journalist of Abkhazia Eleonora Kogoniia gave a tour of the theater, sharing interesting facts from its history and highlighting landmark performances that have left their mark on Abkhazian art. She explained to the children the importance of respecting the work of actors and other theater staff and minding manners during performances.
Then, the students were taken backstage, where they met members of the troupe and learned many interesting things about the production process and the acting profession. The highlight of the evening was a performance of the "Asdu" play directed by Madina Argun. The tour of the theater concluded with a visit to the theater buffet, where a delicious treat was served to the project participants.
Equestrian tournament "The Cup of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia" was held at the Bzyb Hippodrome.
The equestrian tournament "The Cup of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia" was held at the Bzyb Hippodrome. Riders competed in races of various distances, dart throwing, and equestrian football.
In addition to the main award, prizes were presented in memory of the first and second presidents of Abkhazia, in memory of those killed in the PWPA, and a volunteer prize. A special prize in the 1600-meter race was provided by the World Abaza Congress. It was won by Evrika Amch, ridden by jockey Yuri Kulinich, representing Inal Chkhebeliia. Second place went to Apsny Indigo, ridden by Adam Shegushev and owned by Felix Kardava. Third place went to Apsny Mechta, ridden by Mirbek Mamurov and owned by Said Sakaniia. The winners were awarded a cup, cash certificates, and diplomas.
The winner of "The Cup of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia" competition was Drimlan, ridden by Timur Chkhebeliia, representing Yuri Khagush.
The event was organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Abkhazia for Youth Affairs and Sports and the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Abkhazia.
